Smadar Lomnitz

A multidisciplinary artist. Her art relating to self-portraits showing the female image from its external representation and internal mental states. Smadar refers to photography as a medium of painting and as a means to produce images that rely on the experience of her own reality.

 Lomnitz encrypts little secrets in her work and information loaded, and allows a glimpse into the deep regions, dark, authentic rituals associated with the state of consciousness, dreams, and testing the boundaries between body and mind.

אמנית רב תחומית, המציגה  דיוקנאות עצמיים המתייחסים לדימוי הנשי העובר טרנספורמציה בין היצוג החיצוני שלו  לבין מצבים נפשיים פנימיים. סמדר מתייחסת לצילום כאל מדיום ציורי וכאמצעי לייצר דימויים הנשענים על חווית המציאות האישית שלה.

לומניץ  מצפינה בתוך עבודותיה סודות קטנים ואינפורמציה טעונה, ומאפשרת הצצה אל תוך מחוזות עמוקים, אפלוליים, הקשורים בריטואלים אותנטיים של מצב תודעה, בחלומות, ובבדיקת גבולות בין גוף לנפש.
